Why wouldn’t you play him alongside?
Jen’s. Jack, can’t play CDM that should now be obvious, they can’t do the defensive part to a high enough level. We should play a 3, but can’t see it happening, Nunez maybe could but not ideal either and that’s Mats to the left siide.
How we got here got only knows, we spent £200 million and we have one CDM and McKenna has played two every game he’s been here, that’s the one constant.
We get pressed and fought it up as a consequence over and over again. Less so at home. But still give away big chances even at home.
It’s like McKenna wants to coach round legs in to square holes and that’s the whole point.
Downes has real tenacity and enjoys that side of the game…, him and Mats would give our quality players one hell of a platform and would allow Jen’s and Nunez to be options in the ten or in a 3.
