Since we hit the cash pot of PL, we have been absolutely awful. That is a collective issue - Ashton, Werhun, KMc and the recruitment team - an absolute embarrassment of rebuilding something that was never broken in the first place.
Look at the mess they have built - 4 RB’s, 1 LB, 1 natural CDM, front line players who in no way fit our profile of player for the positions, and in no way are as effective of what we once had - an absolute disgrace, all for the pretty penny of £125m+.
The balance, the mentality, the connection of this group is absolutely miles off.

Southampton more of a surprise - think they got a decent enough group there, would imagine their fan base is similar to ours.
Leicester a bit more of surprise, talent in the group but thought they were in a bit of a mess of the back of last season going into this one. | | | |

Regardless of other sides - we really shouldn’t be in the mess we are in.
To take a record breaking squad with a special connection, mentality and unity, and try to dismantle it instead of evolving on it is absolutely criminal.
But then to take us back even further back in the Championship - mind blowing, leaves me speechless.
Feels to me like we had the golden egg in our hands with promotion, and we’ve fumbled it and crack it on the floor.
Look to be set so far back, it’s now another mammoth task to rebuild this club again to where you’d have thought our ambitions were, because that is what is required. [Post edited 21 Oct 22:44]
