Grinding out a 1-0. WBA were piss poor but we got the win. Much needed after Tuesday night’s debacle. Uppa feckin Town.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Tuesdays collapse was woeful and deserved criticism

But it seems some Town fans took that mindset into today, without taking a step back and thinking about today’s game, town’s performance and the circumstances

Like you I enjoyed it… because it required players low on confidence to dig deep, and with little supper, and whilst WBA didn’t offer much, they defended doggedly and peppered out defence with longer stuff and set pieces

I enjoyed the game for Taylor’s performance alone, and some of the Davis/Philogene interplay

The subs made the game much more ‘traditionally’ entertaining

I enjoyed OShea trying hard and succeeding in turning his performance from Tuesday around

Poll: What music should be played just before kick-off?

Good job we have Clarke, he could be a great link up with Nunez as we move forward. Deserved the win, now for our first away win. Love that Albion's attempt to play out from the back was such a cock up. Swings and roundabouts I guess. RIP Dave Ball btw.

That is how we should play away from home. 1-0 wins on the road are how you win championships. Good to finally see a solid central midfield. Keep the game tight and we will win most. Don't think the ref liked us today. Gave us nothing. Not sure how he missed the tackle on Sam early on. Poor foul.

I was thinking the same: that's our away team.
I also think we won that by accident. If Szmodics hadn't got injured then Akpom hadn't got injured we wouldn't have ended that match with the right combination of finishers and it would have been a frustrating 0-0 draw.
I can't fault the players' efforts but it's certainly a struggle finding that attacking magic that we used to have scoring goals for fun.

I was thinking about this and West Brom did look awful but ive seen that happen with other teams who up till then had been doing fairly well, is there is the slightest chance its about the way we played and bossed possession that made them look poor? I thought Charlton looked dreadful first half with us bossing the ball again in that game (i wont cover the second half all new ball game that!!!!)

I was a bit the same. How many times have we seen games like that where we draw or worse end up conceding a late goal. Ugly wins are important to help develop confidence and can be just as satisfying as beating teams 3-4 nil even though it’s a bit harder on the nerves.

Albion weren’t great but seen poorer teams than them come away with something against us.
