It’s a perfect metaphor for the clubs though. Cobbold was worried about the wine, and it would have been good wine at that, maybe something like a classic Domaine Coche-Dury white Burgundy. They’re more like a Budweiser in the relative hierarchy of drinks; common, weak, cheap and tacky. |  |
