The EFL need to eradicate the intentional fake injuries to slow momentum 23:36 - Nov 4 with 428 viewsunstableblue

Its rather rich for a Town fan to be calling this out, as Chaplin was the master of a tactical go to ground to allow Town players and manager to regroup.

But that keeper going down in the second half for Watford when we were really building some momentum and starting to cause real issues, was another level. He pulled his shin pads out, feigned some knee/leg injury, had lengthy treatment, then sprung up, and was immediately moving around with energy.

It was blatant, and sadly negatively effected Town.

We're getting it a lot this season. Refs need to be firmer.

They should introduce a rule that if a keeper has to have treatment on the pitch then an outfield player should have to go off for the same alloted time that an outfield player would usually go off for. It may help reduce the anount of times we see keepers feigning injury.

People say this all the time but in reality there's no solution other than the current one of added time being punitive.

We had our best chances after that point so not sure it really hampered us too much either.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

The best way to eradicate them is taking your chances from 6 yards out.

Taking about 30 seconds every goal kick needs to stop as well. What is that 8 second rule for out of interest, not for that presumably?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I’d like to see a rule as follows: if the ref has to stop the game because a player has gone down injured, then that player has to leave the pitch for 10 minutes. If the player is genuinely injured and needs to be substituted then that can happen immediately. But if the injured player wants to go back on then he has to wait 10 minutes. I think it would cut out a lot of what has come to be known as “game management” - which is simply code for cheating, in order to break up the flow of the game.

Cheers,
JK
