Muhren and Thijssen were magical players, it was a privilege to watch them, they’d make every “best ever” Ipswich team and I’m never going to say anything negative about either of them. On the one specific aspect I’ve mentioned though I’d argue Jaden is at least their equal. The fact you’ve has to go back 45 years to name a player is a huge compliment in itself.

Jaden has a long way to go to be their equal. He's had less than a season and has a good touch and huge potential but way too soon to start comparing to genuine greats.

You asked for one.

I would also include Stewart, Dyer, Whitton (used to bring the ball down from a Craig Forrest cross field kick regularly), Counago, Reuser etc.

It's all subjective and based on players people have watched regularly - the above always stuck out in my mind for their ability for close control under pressure.

Bear with me on this...

but It was the one thing that JET absolutely excelled at. I wrote on here at the time that it didn't seem to matter how hard, hight or how much spin was on a ball, he'd kill it. There were many sliced or shanked passes from team mates that would have opened us up if they'd landed with anyone else.
He was flawed in many ways but for me, his touch was spellbinding.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
