Is McKenna missing a trick? 16:18 - Nov 5 with 550 viewsAdam

Last night was obviously frustrating and we had enough chances to win the game of course but the Greaves cameo last night made me question if he is indeed missing a trick.

As we all know we are struggling to make the number 10 position click and we have tried at least three there (Chuba, Szmodics & Nunez) but is the answer Greaves?

Now I am not saying play him in the number 10 but should McKenna be considering 3 at the back and not having a number 10?

The typical 11 would probably be as per below -

Palmer / Walton
Furlong O'Shea Kipre Greaves Davis
Azor Cajuste/Taylor
Egeli Jaden
Hirst

It would allow Davis & Furlong to bomb on either side & Greaves could support with his inside runs similar to last night. Don't get me wrong McKenna wont do it and wont change his formation but its a discussion point for sure.....

No

it's

Azor with Taylor

Nunez or Cajuste in the 10

Akpom rotates with Hirst, Azon erm, every now again, maybe even going two uptop late on perhaps.

OR, Maybe even trying Humphreys in the 10 considering he impressed greatly at wycombe being that advanced and this is the championship NOT the premiership so he really should be given a try..

It's mad we have a real problem with the 10 role given all the candidates we supposedly have

I'll throw another name in there that we could try and that's Azon himself, should we actually just be thinking or two strikers dovetailing at times and seeing if we can build a partnership there?

Certainly in a 352, you might get away with having two up top at times?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Just don’t understand why when we are chasing deep into injury time that kipre and greaves weren’t up front in the box and us trying to play lofted balls if only for a few minutes to force a mistake - Anytjing to prevent us with playing around in our own half and passing back to Walton with seconds to spare which I just don’t understand.
