Looking at the game yesterday 09:15 - Nov 23 with 342 viewsmuccletonjoe

I dont know how much the international break disrupted our flow of form . Or how much is down to said form being very in and out.
Certainly Wrexham made one hell of an effort to keep us from finding any rhythm to the almost total exclusion of trying to win the game themselves.
Unfortunately most of our better chances at scoring fell to players who are completely bereft of any sort of confidence in front of goal , infact Azon, Akpom and Egeli have managed one goal between them all season, so not entirely surprising the scoreline remained blank.
Unless these statistics miraculously change over the festive period , I can't see us doing much more than looking at the play offs places from the doorstep.
A striker must be top of the touted funds available shopping list come January, it will be costly, but I think we have seen enough to know that promotion will rest on that signing being the right one.

Striker is the easy thing to say, been saying since the start of October a number 10 who links up the midfield to the attack and can get on the end of things is more important.

I would say equally important.

I think it has much more to do with the fact that teams know exactly how to play us, at PR anyway, and we have yet to work out how to deal with it effectively.

Yesterday was a prime example. We started off OK but as the game went on our build ups became more and more pedestrian and so slow. It’s as if we run out of ideas against a low block and at times just seemed to be going through the motions with no intensity or belief.
