Can we just pick a starting 11 and stick with it for a few games?.. 10:16 - Nov 29 with 510 viewsnorfsufblue

Ok injury and suspensions might necessitate some changes but let's give our squad definite roles. The back four should not change as a rotation for definite, and when players have a bit of a cnfidence boost is a game, keep them in the team and try to create some form streaks? ... and lets start working teams harder, if we must retain possession across the back.. . Do it quicker and make the low block shuffle harder for the opposition.... its how we used to wear teams down but in my opinion we give them an easy ride...
The ball is faster than any player so let's get it moving and create opportunities to exploit opposition misjudgements and mistakes by overworking that ruddy low block.

Everyone rotates, especially in three-game weeks (and in our case, four games in 11 days due to Blackburn).

For all the frustrations with the current team, we need to stop assuming we are somehow doing something weird by rotating players in the Championship. Any team that has a big enough squad to do it, does it to a certain extent.

People hark back to the 2023-24 promotion team and the one from the season before, but we did exactly the same then as we do now. We packed the bench with attackers and used them to hit teams from 60-70 minutes onward when they had already been pressured by the starting 11. Nobody complained about it then.

What? You mean like Covenrty do?
Hell, yes. Who knows l, we might actually start looking like a team and not an ever perpetual rotating 11....

No, we’ve got to make 6 or 7 changes every game to keep the players fresh so we can perform to a high level every game, particularly when we have a quick turnaround.

Oh.

Remember half the outfield players only play c60 mins each game.

3 game weeks are rare. It's usually 2 games weeks.

I get the attacking changes. Not sure of the need to change a centre back nearly every game
