| One word - just one - to describe our season so far? on 19:54 - Nov 30 by FrimleyBlue | For me it's the attempts all the time at being 'positive' for the sake of being different. I remember it was said of me i could turn any positive post and make it a negative which was fair, I think JD comes across as someone who doesn't genuinely feels the things he writes but writes them to be go against the grain. Think he he showed the occasional groan i'd feel different but it's constant positivity that just appears fake. |
None of it is fake. I just say how I feel! All posts are genuine! I had a moan about conceding counter attack goals on Tuesday if you look. We've got an exceptionally good manager. Something that people are starting to take for granted. Football is not a video game. If you look back I'm saying the same thing in many seasons including Winter 22/23 and 23/24 when a large number of fans threw their toys out of the pram. Funnily enough they were happy to celebrate promotion. I am still thrilled that we are now a well run club. Of course the club's aim is top two but it amazes me that fans are now starting to say things like 'only finish in the play offs' like it's a total disaster. It's a bit embarrassing in my view. Don't forget where we were. Blue paint for touchlines because we had no white. I've probably spent a good 25 years of my life counting the points between us and 6th place hoping we could put together a play off charge mostly in vain. We're in a different land now. I trust KM and if you listen to his analysis he is very open in telling you what is happening. People are very entitled and not willing to back the team at the very time it needs it most. Listen to what KM says about it. It's easy to back the team when it's winning comfortably. It's when it is developing and going through challenges that it matters. I can assure you all my posts are genuine! If you look back at first half of 2022, that was one of my favourite period under KM strangely enough because we knew he was the real deal , you could see the football forming and away games were the core support who understood what was happening and that bond was growing. As soon as there's success suddenly it's the hot ticket and everyone especially those who came back demand more success immediately. It's like Klopp - remember what he did after they drew with West Brom early on in his tenure? [Post edited 30 Nov 20:22]

Dunno JD, there's many posters on here who are incredibly positive posters, but even they come out with the odd grumble which makes their posts come across as more genuine and something i can get behind and i agree with alot of what they say. of course if that's your genuine view then fine who am i to say what you can or can't feel that's wrong of me so ill apologise. But thats why i downvoted the post within this thread as i genuinly can't see how you don't see any actual issues with how this season has played out and just find it all very much going against the grain. But if its real, then you be you and good on ya, it's a special trait and one i'd do well to learn.

I have grumbles! Main one this season is we keep conceding counter attack goals and chances when pushing ourselves. Started at Brum! Ta - appreciate your words! I'll try and throw in a grumble with the positivity now and then. 😉
