All seems very cloak and dagger though one has to wonder if betting companies should be allowed to shut out customers just because they are good (or lucky) at gambling. You can only play if you lose seems like a ridiculous notion to me and then drives these kind of shenanigans

Shady as fook, and no surprise to see Posh George involved (for the unaware, lucky you, but he’s a mate of Farage’s and a convicted criminal with a history of fraud, money laundering, extortion and blackmail (and probably some things I’ve forgotten)).

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

This happens in the matched betting world as well. It's nothing new. It's why the bookies now ask for ridiculous levels of verification. It's not uncommon for them to ask for passport or driving licence, utility bill, bank statement (not allowed to redact any info at all), photos of the front and back of the card you use to deposit and a selfie of you holding your ID up next to your face.

Bookies are closing winning accounts quicker than ever. Even if you bet on horse which go off at lower value they will restrict you. Geoff Banks restricted me recently because two horses on the same day went off much shorter than the price I backed them at.

Truly impaired.

Always been the way.

I worked in a high street bookies in the 90s and we had black listed punters. There were also a few who if they placed a larger bet, we’d be on the phone to all the other shops on the high street to share intel.

Mugs game, gambling. Bookies always win.

Trailing vapour since 1999.
