Big game, one to look forwrd to, Cov in great form. One to relish. Type of game everyone looks forward to.

What seen from Cov? They're doing a great job. Not just this season, can look at it over four seasons that Ive been around the EFL. Outstanding squad building, sold players and invested well, invested in good itnernational players in third or fourth season, big British talent. Credit to the club for that.

And Frank's done a great job with them. Close for four seasons and pushed on this year. All ingredients to be a top side in this division. Looking forward to facing them. Good test for them as well.

Biggest thing between the teams consistency. Cov had a lot of time together and grown together, as we did from League One. In a different position, much bigger turnover and makes our position different. Believe we have talented group of players but not the years together.

Talk about a best XI, we've had the group together for three months with three international breaks. Relationships start to form. Trying to grow and build a team that has those connections and that's the process we're in. Felt like we'd taken steps forward, other night a step back and have to take two steps forward tomorrow.

Ashley Young, sad to lose him to game as not wanting to go into management as plans to retire at end of season? I'm sure he'll saty in the game, media work, I know he's adamant he doesn't want to go into management. Still trains and plays the same as in his twenties and when I first knew him in his 30s at United. Can mix with the 18-year-olds same as the older players. See how it develops, for now important player on and off the pitch.

A few nights at home appreciated. Good two games to go into, Stoke in good form as well as Cov. Back ourselves against any opponent, but need to be at our best and have a proper Portman Road atmos.

Last two performances setbacks? Oxford, no. Lost and people will see it differently. Made a couple of big mistakes, individual, tactical on the second goal, and weren't clinical enough. In general performance, started really well, made mistakes which cost us game. Not a performance not too far off.

Other night different, poor performance and happy to get the point. In general, three games when we haven't had better opportunities than the opposition, Birmingham, Boro and Blackburn.

Energy been really good over last couple of days and looking forward to seeing them playing on Saturday.

We believe in ourselves, even against a team doing so well, with humility. Would like more points, but believe in players. On most metrics we're in the top two in the table. Have left points out there from the games so far, want to catch up those points. Know and believe we can compete. Chance to compete against best team in the division on form, a challenge which gives us a chance to step forward.

Feeling in training ahead of Blackburn very rare since being at the club. Result liek Oxford can knock you back, players human.

Prefer games like this? Let's see. Every team looking to be at top of division would prefer a team going toe-to-toe than one coming to defend in depth. Scored goals in the home games when teams have taken the former approach. But have to be good at both over the course of the season. Haven't had as many even games, but haven't shown we're consistent enough in those games yet. Will have chance in the next two.

Pros outweighing cons on rotation? I know it's a topic. You can't remove it from the context of where we are as a club. Lots of periods with a settled team and consistently. Any manager would like a team where everyone is able to play every game.

From last year, only Dara and Leif regular starters. We're a group which is building from an almost complete turnover following two promotions and a relegation. A lot of players joined last year and over the summer, some without pre-seasons.

I don't think it's possible then to have a cohesive team which is ready to go and play every team. Don't think you can compare with previous years and other clubs given change and how late the squad came together. Takes time to come together.

Felt like we started on 1st Sept with a busy fixture programme. Not going to be a club where good players come in and never play. There's a process to go through, more about where we are as a club.

Always going to be tougher if come down and don't win, rotation is always going to be why. At Hull, made six changes, won, at Boro, no changes, lost. I don't think there's any correlation between that and points we've won and lost. But know if we don't win, that's going to be the story. Of course, want to get to a more consistent group, but that takes time. Know more than we did on Sept 1st and will know more on Feb 1st, when we'll have a good group with very few injuries.

Can't let this become a narrative. Players read stuff, there are players who have made three, four five appearances. If you're an ITFC player, need to get behind them. If there's a narrative other than that, that's detrimental to the players. We'll pick the right team for the next six games in December and team will pick up good results.

Of course he is. The notion that players and their families don't read this board and then pass it on to the rest of the squad was disproved during the Frimmers Burns-gate incident.

Szmodics back in squad, Palmer back training but not involved, Burns not too bad after knock the other night, Townsend on track.

Cov FA Cup game no impact, neither the win at the end of the promotion season. Ellis Simms one of a number of players linked with Town, example of the good business they've done.

Got to take the rough with the smooth, he's had full backing of everyone in his time here, the performances against Wrexham, Oxford and Blackburn were rank and it's perfectly fine for fans to question tactics/rotation etc.

Up to them to shut us all up.
