They were without quite a bit of firepower yesterday – Sakamoto/Torp/Thomas-Asante – which in fairness limited their options. But it'll be very interesting to see how they do in the second half of the season and Preston (a) isn't necessarily the fixture you'd want up next.

I think Lampard has concentrated most of the minutes into relatively few players with much less rotation than us. As we're getting into the hectic Christmas period it will be interesting to see whose selection strategy works out best and whether they now start to pick up a few more injuries.

I think last season we saw that a few key injuries can lead to a bit of an availability spiral as others then end up playing through minor niggles or doing more minutes than maybe they are ready for.
