By a long way our best and most complete performance in near all areas. You set that standard, the next step is naturally consistency in performances, but the bar has now been set higher than we’ve ever hit with this group before.
Thought Jack Clarke was outstanding all night, the positions he took were excellent, very Broadhead esc, and left a lot of room for Greaves on the overlap, but the actual output from Clarke was really high quality, and consistent throughout the game.
That level of performance which we just haven’t seen, gives you real foundation to say there is something you can work with and towards here.

Not going to mince my words, by far the best performance of the season. Playing the league leaders at home we looked like a PL team against a middling Championship side. Greaves immense at LB, I'd keep him there. J Clarke best game in a Town shirt. Our midfield completely dominated Cov. If only we had a clinical striker to finish the chances Azon has it could have been 4, 5-0 to us.
This shows the quality that the team can hit when everything clicks and they actually attack from min. 1. If we get a decent striker in Jan and play even 75% of what we did today every match overhauling Cov isn't a tall order.
Burns now to be the super sub on 75 every match.

Agree with you. This was a very good performance, and for the full 90 minutes.
In my opinion, I would like us to strengten with a striker (9) and a center mid in jan. If there still is room for more I would love an upgrade on the 10 position.
I also think from todays showing Greaves is a great option on the left. Gives us solidity in the defence and ofcourse height. Not saying he should replace Lief, but perhaps be the prefered option when playing top teams. [Post edited 29 Dec 20:25]

Thought Greaves was absolutely outstanding, will add Jack Clarke really ‘allowed’ him to look so good with the space he created for Greaves, and Greaves took full advantage.

Greaves was immense, but you do have to think just how good Leif will look if J.Clarke can perform like and create that space for Leif.
But Greaves was immense, and added to him being a real valuable member of the group with that versatility.
Want to get Burns to full speed, want him back firing 100% from the outset immediately, his directness, his understanding of the role, and his ability there is crucial. | | | |

I agree, but we've seen flashes of this against teams playing positively and going toe to toe with us. And of course failed at times too (Leicester e.g.). Let's see how we fare against the likes of Oxford. |  |
