The context around his come back and his journey with us, under the lights against the league leaders. I can't recall in recent times being that happy for any one person to score a goal! In the league 1 season that moment was Derby away for me. In the championship promotion season it was Morsy at Watford. I know we have picked up more points than almost anyone since September but for me, as with many, it's clear that something has been missing - without really knowing what it was or how to articulate it. Hopefully that can be the catalyst or the "turning point" for want of a better word last night. COYB [Post edited 30 Dec 8:40]

He's acknowledged it's a very special goal because of the context. But I suspect KM would also say that the only reason that goal happens is because of the point at Millwall if that makes sense. In that if we do the right things and play the right way we will get our rewards eventually. He's always been about process over moments. I thought his point about staying calm even in difficult moments and letting the players see you stay calm was really revealing. It's a good job we as fans aren't in charge because we're the opposite!

Fully agree and yes clearly he's about process and consistency of that. My point was simply, in my opinion, every great season needs a "moment" and I simply don't think we've had that yet - until yesterday evening. Even the win against those lot up the road felt a bit muted and was more relief than anything.

Every setback being taken in the worst manner, constant raw fear that we are falling short, a feeling we should have bought instant success rather than a developing project. There was a slow start and have been bumps along the way (e.g. Oxford, Leicester, Millwall). But Town are building up a good head of steam, closing in on the division leaders at the half-way point of the season. However, the atmosphere at games and on the forum doesn't reflect that. Perhaps, as we continue to develop, get more wins, individuals grow in confidence - and having now doubled the League leaders without a goal conceded - that will shift as the fanbase get more comfortable with the progress, less worried about falling back.

Those late coach journeys home after a result and performance like that will be some of the best memories and best ways to build that. Its not been a perfect first half of the season, but the way the table is shaping up its all there for us. If you had offered us being 10 off Cov and 2 off Boro at this stage I don't think many would've taken it in August, but when you consider how far back Leicester (likely points deduction too), Saints, Birmingham who were much fancied are, as well as Sheff United, we're in a good spot. Respectfully if we can't outpace Boro by 1 win and at least match Preston, Hull, Millwall, Watford, QPR etc over the next 22 games then we probably don't deserve promotion.

You're right and I agree with the ones you've picked out from the other seasons - that Derby win was really massive in particular. It definitely feels like like last night is very significant. You can feel it. Lift off!
