Semenyo transfer 17:15 - Jan 2 with 934 viewsringwoodblue

I find it interesting that on the verge of a transfer to Citeh, Bournemouth are talking about playing Semenyo against Arsenal rather than leaving him out to prevent him from getting injured (which is what you’d expect)

Do you think that Citeh see a better chance of Bournemouth taking points off Arsenal in the title race with Semenyo in the team and have therefore ‘allowed’ him to play?

Or am I reading too much into it?

Bournemouth don't really want to sell him, so aren't likely to rest him.

Bournemouth don't want to sell but have already made an inquiry about Philogene or so rumour has it .

I think this is it. Semenyo is being a model professional about it by playing too. It seems so odd that in modern football players stop playing for the club that pays their wages whilst a transfer is negotiated.

As far as Bournemouth are concerned they want as many points as they can get to give them the best league placing they can. If Semenyo picked up a minor injury it probably wouldn't prevent the transfer completing anyway. Obviously a more major one would do but that is a risk they are clearly happy to take.
