| Greenlands wildlife 18:12 - Jan 7 with 570 views | gtsb1966 | Such an abundance of beauty there and you just know that the orange **** will ruin it. That's what I find so sad about all this. I had to lookup what lives on and around the island. It really is one of the world's last unspoilt widernesses. Sorry for the copy and paste. P.s....if there is a feeling more powerful than hate then I have it for the orange **** and it grows more and more each day. ted to its harsh environment, including land mammals like muskoxen, reindeer (caribou), polar bears, Arctic foxes, and Arctic hares, alongside abundant marine life such as narwhals, belugas, seals, and large whales like humpbacks, plus numerous bird species, notably the White-tailed Eagle, with rich biodiversity found especially in the Northeast Greenland National Park. | | | | |

Play nice - some of Noggin’s compatriots are busy drilling the Arctic to pay his wages/pension!

Perfectly legitimate that the incredibly important environmental aspect of the issue should get its own particular spotlight.

I don’t have time to start on those 14 & 5 pagers; this OP’s point was something that hadn’t particularly occurred to me, so he did well to highlight it as far as I’m concerned.

Excellent point but you may also want to find PinewoodBlue's post from yesterday that had a news clip from Al Jazeera about an abandoned United States base on Greenland where a couple of hundred thousand oil drums had just been left to rust. They were full of oil and that has now leeched into the ground. And who pays for and performs the clean up after such wasteful practices ? Denmark of course.
