Such an abundance of beauty there and you just know that the orange **** will ruin it. That's what I find so sad about all this. I had to lookup what lives on and around the island. It really is one of the world's last unspoilt widernesses. Sorry for the copy and paste.

Excellent point but you may also want to find PinewoodBlue's post from yesterday that had a news clip from Al Jazeera about an abandoned United States base on Greenland where a couple of hundred thousand oil drums had just been left to rust. They were full of oil and that has now leeched into the ground. And who pays for and performs the clean up after such wasteful practices ? Denmark of course. |  |
