I emailed them and challenged that decision as that seemed unfair for those who travelled to the first 'game' but could not make the second. They therefore changed there mind and I guess have thought better off of giving 2 points to those going to both which I have to say I agree with.

If you go to the rearranged Pompey game, then you have still only bought one ticket. Therefore one point, even though you may have made the journey twice.

You had to buy a second ticket to go to the second Blackburn game, so it was right to award a second point. Yeh it was half price bu still had to buy it. For Portsmouth, if you bought a ticket for the first game, that same ticket is still valid for the second game, so you've only bought one ticket, therefore you only get one point. If you didn't buy a ticket for the first game, but manage to get hold of a returned ticket for the second, you should also get a point. As I understand it, the club at its discretion is allowing people to keep their point who return tickets if they can't go to the second game.

There's more to away travel than the price of a ticket though. Two of my friends spent the night in Portsmouth, and I had the cost of an aborted rail journey. And I will have to pay for train travel and the cost of a night's accommodation for the replayed game. I suppose it's all about goodwill and I do feel the difference in treatment between Blackburn and Portsmouth is not really justified. [Post edited 16 Jan 16:43]

That though seems to me a matter of process not principle. But clearly no one else thinks the way I do, so I'll leave it there. [Post edited 16 Jan 18:22]
