I’ve actually said exactly the same to my son. May also be why the club has seemingly briefed journalists on KM not wanting to pursue those who were on the list of targets presented to him reinforcing to Azon and in particular Hirst that he’s got full confidence in them (although not sure about the 10 goals!) I hope so.
Love Hirst for what he's done here and wish he would get his mojo back. If he does in the next few games and for the rest of the season he could be a real difference maker but at the moment his confidence seems shot.
Got a lot of time for Azon too. He was superb against Bristol City and unlucky not to get at least one goal. If he has more games like that then he also could make a big difference.
And whilst we've been fine without a clinical striker this season, it would undoubtedly help if both of them started very soon! | |

I always question players supposedly in their peak years who are free agents. Suggests there is something which puts clubs off.
For example origi has only scored 8 goals in his last 88 appearances, although I don’t know total minutes played. Doesn’t suggest he’s the goal scorer we supposedly need though. | | | |
