When did an Ipswich keeper last save a penalty? 09:27 - Feb 8 with 886 views

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like every penalty we concede is a nailed on goal, and I don't recall us saving one for a fair while.

Often feels like Walton, and Palmer when in the team, commit themselves far too early.

This isn't meant as a moan, as I think Walton has been excellent since he came into the team, but even by law of averages you'd think we'd save the occasional penalty.

Yeah agreed. I was thinking, after yesterday's, if he just stays standing up in the middle, he saves that... and over time, if you stayed there, you'd save a few. But that, of course, is assuming the pen taker hasn't done his homework, because they'd just start putting it in the corners if they knew it was a keeper who stayed put.

So I think I've immediately talked myself out of that idea. But I agree, our keepers could go a touch later. Then you're forcing the taker to take a really good pen. At the moment even sh!t ones go in.
