When you sign mid table West Brom’s defence, you get West Brom’s defence. Kiefer Moore hasn’t had an easier game I don’t think, embarrassing defending all game. Hate to say it but Dara O Shea is as overrated as it gets. He’s done that multiple times now!
Matusiwa as good as he is as disrupting play, on the ball and his passing is terrible. People said we have upgraded on Morsy, how? Morsy could dribble, pass and take the ball under pressure and make it look effortless. Matusiwa maybe an upgrade in terms of intercepting but honestly, what else?
The only time we went on a good run, we played teams round the bottom of the table. You need to be consistently good to get top 2 and we’re not that unfortunately. |  | | |  |

We were saying the same in 2022/23 and 2023/24 as well (in both cases, two wins from ten league matches).
I do think we have serious issues we need to urgentl;y rectified, but it's not like we haven't had poor runs of forms under McKenna. | |

There is obviously a chance, win two games in hand we’d be 2 points behind Boro still to play them.
However, do I think we are good enough to make top 2 this year, that’s a different story, no i don’t think so.
There’s talent in the group, but there are major components of a successful team we lack, consistency and mentality stand right at the top of the list.

It’s easy to say we’re 2 points behind boro if we win our two games in hand but do you honestly think we will them 2 games?
I think our tactical approach in some games has been completely wrong, almost trying to control the game with our defence the opposite of 23/24 where it was about looking forward and being direct.
Our ability not to sign a striker in the summer or January will ultimately cost us. Look at the way Moore controlled our defence today, made them look silly all game. People think it’s the goals when I have said that before but it’s not, neither of them have been able to hold it up all season! There whole attack was signed in the summer or in January, this idea that there was no one out there is just a poor excuse. | | | |
