Until next Tuesday, but to be quite honest, what is the point. Surely it is better to hold our hands up and say , yes we were tonked. Get a line drawn under it and move on to Watford.
These next few weeks , there will be very quick turnarounds and there is simply not time for finger pointing or recriminations .
It is time for this squad to stand up and be counted, we have shown resilience before , especially against Coventry away and Derby away, I would suggest they bring that to vicarage road on Tuesday night and get the whole Wrexham nightmare out of their systems.

Anyone thinking we are on for a top two finish needs to give their head a wobble.

Let’s see if that works…

Certainly we need to dust ourselves off real quick.

I dont know what is up with the squad this season, some are very happy to point at the coaching team, its the recruitment of characters and coaching where i would start but thats for May.

Rught now we are missing a couple of key in form players, one is injured, two are hunting around for regular goals, others have not discovered ways assist or have found ways to gift chances from nothing all to often. Its not really what we dont have in the building, development players havent progressed quickly enough, goals scorers havent scored and the defenders have mostly been great but they have always been two games away from making silly mistakes.

You never know, Wrexham might remove a bit of pressure that had built based on us needing to win to stay in touch with the top. It might afford a few weeks to build the type of performance we will need in the play offs, if that goes well perhaps we can re check where we are in relation to automatics.

This team this season has time and again not been able to demonstrate that it has the key ingredients for relentless game winning performances needed for automatic promotion, sure weve come along way, this isnt really finger pointing we are where we are but perhaps like many felt back in Aug, playoffs was a more likely scenario. It is not over but you just dont get the feeling we are quite on the right path at the moment but things can change quickly.

The eye test proves you right but as many will say it's still in our hands but let's be honest Coventry now are likely over their blip and their start to the season gives them a great cushion. Middlesboro have the best run in so it's going to take some effort now to get top two with some difficult and congested fixture sessions coming up.

Of course win Tuesday and everyone will think we can do it but sadly I think ultimately you are correct. We can only hope this team turn up for the play offs where those 2 games in hand become a hinderance due to amount of football played.

I don't think things will improve on Tuesday to be honest. Two seasons of giving away sloppy goals has not taught them anything...probably will continue to do so. But we live in hope.
