My goodness, that call is right up there with the Coventry disallowed goal in the FA Cup final as harsh, and everything I don't like about VAR offside rules.
The freeze frame has the forward's foot offside, but he is actually on his back foot and would have surely lost advantage when moving on to his front foot.
I know offsides are frequently missed in the lower leagues, but I actually think I prefer the error of the human eye to the line-drawing, autonomy of computers.

I don’t want VAR at all. And there are numerous examples of VAR making mistakes so no, i have no confidence at all if the championship had VAR it would have given us a penalty.

“Not particularly pro” some endorsement. How do you feel about VAR capturing the exact moment the ball is kicked. How far can a player run in the frames per second delay. Football , warts and all is better without it. |
The title of the thread is endorsing getting the decision wrong when technology overturned to correct it, that’s fine as long as everyone is happy with it when it doesn’t work out, many seem to be. | |

I don’t particularly disagree but the Wrexham goal was offside, correct call. If we are routing for incorrect calls because of “a moment” that’s a different argument I guess. So many subjective ones are the issue and the implementation of it overall. |
The call needs to be made before 'the moment' so fans know not to celebrate. Before VAR this was the linesman's flag. Now we have VAR decisions to disallow goals are communicated a few minutes later, which I don't think is acceptable. | | | |
