Yeah, if we had 5 non fringe players out I'd call it a weakened Town team. I wouldn't call it the reserves though.

But 5 first teamers and 5 players used on a rotation bases plus their best player is more than a weakened team then. So to call it stoke ressies is just a way of describing it as more than just a weakened team.

Isn't it the truth though that 'reserves' is being used for dramatic effect.
Sure - we all do that at times though ...
.. but some are using it as a stick.
There were a lot of people who didn't accept that last season one of our biggest challenges was how many injuries we had in the squad, but no-one ever said we were playing our reserves.
The conversations on here are often difficult enough with using potentially inflammatory terms (and that's by both 'camps' btw).
