I wonder if the club considered a risk adverse approach yesterday 09:32 - Mar 14 with 595 viewsCheltenham_Blue

after the Leif news of resting Matusiwa and Furlong and starting Baggott and Dan Neil.

I very much doubt it as its not Kierans way, but there must be a temptation to keep them both dry in this one game against Wednesday rather than risk losing both for two games against Millwall and Brum.

I’d definitely leave Matusiwa on the bench, hopefully not coming on, and rest Furlong altogether today. I’d play Greaves on the left, Johnson on the right and Baggott with O’Shea.

Could well be an adverse approach re risk management. Toughie. I'd like to trust them to navigate this last game before the suspension threat lifts, sub them off early if we're in a good position. Though I read on this forum that Azor has a bad hammy, which would be a worry. And you can trust the players but can you trust the ref?

You're talking me round! I doubt Wednesday are much better than the Blackpool side we played in the cup, when we lined up with Johnson on the right and Baggott on the left (and the latter really struggled lol, so perhaps not the example to bring up).

It seems like they’re not expecting Matusiwa to be available by the sounds of it. And there has been some talk he may not be ready for Millwall, but that’s just speculation at this point.

Furlong I suspect will play just because of the other enforced changes. I can see Baggott at CB and Greaves at LB but didn’t he swap them the other way in the cup game? Very odd having Baggott at LB imo.

Mehmeti is the other concern on 9 yellows. It’s all coming together badly at the wrong time innit.

Starting Baggot would be a massive risk, it’s a no from me. We need experience on the pitch, SW will already be buoyed by Leif being absent.
