I agree with what you mentioned in your post - adding to your post recent studies have found that the average pig have the intelligence of a 3 year old human child. Taking that into account, it seems complete logical that a pig processes the emotional intelligence to be realise what will happen to it at a slaughter house - its final minutes must be complete hell.

Saying that, I still eat pork - does that make me a hypocrite or lacking in morality? Very probably, yes.

Going further I don’t think anyone can describe themselves as an animal lover if they eat meat. A dog lover, yes. A cat lover, yes - but not an animal lover.


I think any animal in that environment goes through hell but pigs are very intelligent animals.
