Please remember that Mission control in Houston used 5 huge IBM mainframes. These were massively powerful for their time. Because powerful computers were so large, the astronauts in the Command and Lunar Modules had to use pretty simple computers for their guidance, but they relied on information supplied from Houston's mega machines.

….”humanity going to the moon”, but they aren’t are they? If you said you were going to London but just drove down the A12 and then did a circuit of the M25 and came back you wouldn’t have gone to London. Load of fuss over nothing. I won’t be happy until I see them kicking a medicine ball around with chain mail jumpers as goalposts.

Classic American 'drive thru' culture innit. Can't even be arsed to get out and have a stroll around.

Yes, but think of the air miles that the astronauts will rack up.
