On match days absolutely everyone needs to get behind the team.
We deal with Ashton separately! He really messed up and it's was disgusting but this is our team not his and we back them. Our feelings are already clear.
Promotion is there for us if we back the boys. Ashton's ego and big f#@k up should not stop us supporting the players and mAnager for 90 mins every game.

There is no realistic way of fans making it clear to the club except doing something on match day.
I am not advocating for or against it, just that all the other suggestions are clearly nonsense as they will just refuse to engage.
Thus posters who keep saying "deal with Ashton separately" aren't really serious about dealing with Ashton in my view.
Everyone should be and will be behind the team. Being annoyed or even protesting against Ashton is not being against the team and linking them together as many have done is also wrong in my view.

I don't think anyone in their right mind on the board isn't absolutely crystal clear about the weight of feeling on this issue. I've written to the club and made my feelings clear and people can keep doing that. It's also absolutely nonsense that there are no other realistic ways. Don't buy shirts or merchandise and make those reasons clear as I have. There can be demonstrations at the club and even after the full time whistle make it clear if we have to.
But we have 8 games to get up and that will impact the club hugely.
This last week or so Ashton has made a ridiculous decision that hurt the club. The fans have clearly and vocally said no to that nonsense. Not in our name.
I don't think compounding the issue now and making a decision to hurt the club further is right at this point. That my personal opinion despite understanding the feeling on it. I would prefer to give absolutely no further national attention to Farage at this point. | |

Yep - Ashtongate on the back burner for me now. Not gone away but on the back burner. If we can harness some of the anger and direct it towards winning everything out on the pitch, then so be it.
