I think left unchecked, boro could easily win tomorrow even without hackney or whittaker.
They have lost quite a few and have left their fans down almost to the point where they are now not expected to come 2nd, so the pressure is off. They won’t have the home support advantage but it is lunchtime that removes a big chunk of that as crowds tend to be quieter for midday kick offs.
They could easily employ low block and counter tactics against us and exploit our weaknesses at corners.
Our crowd could be nervous too.
The only way i can see us winning is for everyone to be in the pubs from 8am and turn the ground into the sort of atmosphere that pompey had. |  |

What a ridiculous statement, all this head wobbling comments drive me insane. Especially here where clearly and factually it is not must win. Not unless you can see into the future? In fact a draw keeps Middlesbrough at arms length and still in pole position even if Southampton beat Swansea AND us! You may as well say the first game of the season is must win because quite easily you might finish the end of the season less than 3 points behind your objective if you do not. |
