Bit sad but been collecting the season ticket cards since the club started issuing them.

I don't think I know anyone under 80 who doesn't have an appropriate phone!

People might prefer a physical ticket though for many reasons.

I have two phones and neither are compatible with NFC so they wont work with digital ticketing
| Physical Season Ticket on 17:02 - Apr 21 with 433 views | Mark | We await further details, but just out of interest this is what the West Ham website says... What if I don't have a smart phone or compatible mobile device? The Club is conscious that some of Season Ticket Holders may not have access to a mobile phone and we will work with you to provide a solution on a case-by-case basis. If you are over 65 or are an accessible Season Ticket holder you can fill out this form to request a physical Season Ticket, or if you do not fall into this category you can contact the Ticket Office on 0333 030 1966 or email ticketoffice@westhamunited.co.uk to discuss your options. | | | |
| Physical Season Ticket on 17:55 - Apr 21 with 353 views | TJS | I still can't quite work out if the virtual season ticket is going to be any more elaborate than a QR code. If it isn't surely it would work from a printout. However I'm guessing the entry code will only appear on your phone 90 minutes before kickoff in order to try and make it harder to let someone else use your ticket unless you give them your phone with all your personal details on it. Although I would think even that deterrent could be easily be got round by just buying a cheap smartphone on pay as you go with nothing on it except the ticket app in which case you could still lend it to anyone else. Me. I have a steam driven phone that I use to talk to people. I find I dont need a smart phone as everybody else carries one for me. That is very kind of them. I cant see the point, they are big and heavy and just get in the way. If tickets go digital I will have to get one. It's only use will be to get me into the game. Another match day expense like the £5 fuel and £20 train fare. What is it with people who want to force others to do what they say ? If the club can save a coupe of quid by going digital I can understand that but it can only be a small amount. I mean 1 ticket for 23 or 19 matches is pretty good already is n't it ? Fairly green ? Efficient ? Sounds like change for change's sake. | | | |
