After watching the scenes back from yesterday 16:49 - May 3 with 733 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

It’s hard to argue the Premier League isn’t a better for having us in it (might be slightly biased) but when you think about some of the established sides these days.

I’ve always had us a similar level to Forest, proper history, old school ground and fanbase.

Absolutely brilliant seeing that again and very relieved. Now let’s hope we can try and establish and most of summer projects will be fully focused on the squad!

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

I remember, writing about one of the games in 2024-25, John Brewin in the Guardian describing Ipswich as "a place where you can feel that football really matters" (or very similar).

He's spot on. You can't get this everywhere. It's a special thing. I remember going to Bournemouth v Forest a few years back, Kieffer Moore scored to get them back up - so a similar scenario – and an hour after the end the town centre was empty & closed, virtually had to beg to get a pint somewhere.

Not to pick on Bournemouth as there’s lots to like about them - smart recruitment, bright managers, attractive football - but their continued existence in the top flight with their 10k stadium is really irritating. When non league clubs can be prevented from moving up leagues due to grounds not being up to required standard, genuinely surprised premier league haven’t tried to introduce some kind of minimum capacity requirement.
