| Freebies / out of contract 19:04 - May 12 with 535 views | _CliveBaker_ | I used to love an out of contract signing on Football Manager. A few of these can help save the pennies for the bigger transfer fee outlays on younger players. We'll likely be losing a few (Chaplin / Burns / Townsend / H. Clarke), but who would you look at? Adam Webster - Only 31 but has had injuries. There's been lots of talk of needing an experienced partner to O'Shea / challenger to Greaves. Could we see a return to Town for Webster? I can see some merit in it. Raul Jimenez - 34 but would bring some valuable experience. Would have to be on a relatively short deal, but given we need at least 2 #9's he could be a good pick up if he's keen. Callum Wilson - As above. Matt Targett - Only 30, done really well on loan at Boro from Newcastle. If they go up I think they'll sign him, but if not he'll join another premier league club. Could be a good alternative to Leif in an area we're short. Allan Saint-Maximin - Curveball suggestion, coming to the end of his short Lens deal where I think he's done OK. PL experience, versatile across the forward areas, still only 29. Worth a punt? | | | | |

Yes of course, but they can still be much cheaper deals to do in the short term and add valuable experience. What you often don’t get is resale potential, but with some of our recruitment we’ve not got much of that anyway. | | | |
