I can't see this reported anywhere else, so I suspect this is BS.

Not that the US should be hosting the world cup, but then, the corruption under Blatter was clearly set as a challenge for all those that followed.

"Reportedly"? The competition is a month away, so this should be sorted, but if it isn't, Iraq should refuse to play.
How they deal with Iran is a much bigger issue.
