I wasn't going to suggest any possible transfer moves this early, but just couldn't resist this one. The above, Zian Flemming. Will turn 28 just before the start of next season, 6ft 1in. Centre forward come attacking midfielder. Scored 10 PL goals for already relegated Burnley this season in the PL in just 1,602 minutes played in the PL, or a goal every 160 minutes. Just for a comparison, nothing else, Erling Haaland has scored 26 PL goals in 2,870 PL minutes, or a goal every 110 minutes. Flemmings overall goal scoring record during his career is respectable. You have to figure in the sort of service a striker is likely to receive too. I'm just going to include the players significant strengths and weaknesses as per the website I use, these are taken from the past 2 seasons games. By the way, there are no significant weaknesses listed. Here are the strengths.

Long shots/Very Strong
Direct free-kicks/ Strong
Finishing/Strong
Headed Attempts/Strong
Holding On To The Ball/Strong

And here's his style of play.

Zian Flemming's Style of Play
Likes to play long balls
Plays the ball off the ground often
Likes to do layoffs
Likes to shoot from distance
Gets fouled often
Indirect set-piece threat
Commits fouls often

There you are, I'm not suggesting we should rush over to Burnley with a blank check and say " write in your price " but he surely has to be worth a look? Oh and as Columbo might say, one more thing, he's Dutch! We have a rather good record with those players!

I think we will very much be interested but even if we get him I also think he’d start as 2nd choice as we’ll get an even higher calibre striker as well

I'll say this, if we started the season with a striker better than Flemming and had him as no 2, I'd be absolutely delighted. That would be a huge upgrade on what we currently have. Like everyone else, we'll have to wait and see. I think Leeds might be showing an interest.

Leeds reported interest, we are down the pecking on anyone that is in a team and has proven PL quality, sad but best acknowledge this early, rather than continue with unachievable targets.

This one must be on the borderline achievable but not if others are genuinely interested.

Hes been suggested a lot on here.

Would be a good signing, good goal scoring record in the Prem.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

And of course I forget to mention, if all else fails, we could install him as head of spying:)

The names Flemming, Zian Flemming. The parts of Moneypenny and " Q " still to be filled.
