| Hivemind question 13:51 - May 22 with 431 views | Butterbing | Situation: Broken wastepipe in a rental flat. Nobody's fault, just due to an old pipe that needs replacing. Landlord identified problem yesterday, Kitchen sink cannot be used until further notice as draining waste into flat below. Bathroom sink and toilets still in use. Landlord arranged plumbers to come today but they have now postponed until tomorrow. Neither tenant or landlord is available tomorrow. Plumbers next availability is Tuesday so leaves tenant with no kitchen sink from Thursday to Tuesday. No other plumbers can be found. Is this OK? Or should either landlord or tenant cancel their plans (assumign that is possible)? | | | | |

No letting agents involved, landlord normally just arranges repairs themselves.

I think it depends on the tenants situation, how they feel about it and what their relationship is like with the landlord. Every right to push back though
