Than hunting down an intermittent electrical fault, tripping an RCD breaker?

If there is, can someone let me know, I just want a bit of variety now...

Is there too much load on a circuit breaker so it is tripping when that threshold is occasionally exceeded. Could be a faulty RCD also.

Well, if memory serves, according to Derek & Clive it was ‘picking lobsters out of Jayne Mansfield’s …’.

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

I spent many funless hours over many a Christmas finding out which of the 200 bulbs on the Christmas tree was blown and so stopping the others working. Usually a day later another one goes and its a groundhog time.

Was my initial though, but when it tripped with everything in the house unplugged, I moved on from an over loaded system.

Possibly RCD, but it was occasionally tripping the upstairs lights breaker.

Have now left this tripped and the system has stayed up for the last hour.

Beginning to suspect Mickey Mouse or Roland Rat have been nibble shit in the loft...

That's a strong possibility, or one of the upstairs bulbs on the way out.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
