You can probably tell what era anyone grew up in by the answers here. These were my key go-to's whenever I had cash to spend:

Instead, magazines such as Look and Learn and Shoot came as part of the paper delivery. And my dad would have given me enough momey for the entrance fee and bus fare for attending games at Ipswich on my own. But he did hold the purse strings, and never really liked me going to the speedway, so rarely gave me the money to attend along with a couple of friends. As regards, things like Lego and toy cars that would have been something that I only got at my birthday or Christmas. Indeed, it didn't cost anything to be outdoors all days during holidays playing football and the like. I was, however, an only child, so maybe things would have been different if I had had a sibling. Not a bad lot having Ipswich Town match tickets in place of pocket money. But I feel your pain a bit. The way my son spends on digital fortnite extras I do wonder if he doesn't need to have the same treatment, but he does use it elsewhere too

Pic n Mix I got Roy of the Rovers delivered weekly with the Evening Star but I think my dad covered that when he paid the papers on a Sunday (do people still do that?)

I was the same as you with sweets. All of those you mention plus Black Jacks, liquorice pipes, pineapple chunks, sherbet lemons that stuck to the paper bag so you often had to spit a bit of paper out. Those squares of chewing gum with cards in the packet,8 chews for 1d.
