A name I haven't seen mentioned yet.
Spent his formative years in coaching working through the ranks at Manchester City. Served as Pep Guardiola's right-hand man between 2021 and 2025, a period which included their treble-winning season. Currently manages Braga and boasts a win percentage of nearly 56 per cent, losing just 12 of his 61 games in charge, having finished fourth in the league and reached the Europa League semi-finals.
Clearly has excellent coaching pedigree and has learnt from arguably the greatest in history in Guardiola. In that way, he would be similar to a McKenna-type appointment, with the added benefit of already having a year's experience managing in a top-flight league. Has a better record than Carlos Cuesta, another coach with a similar background who has struggled at Parma in comparison.
Tends to play a 3-4-3 with an emphasis on possession and an asymmetric build-up on the wings, similar to Town under McKenna with Davis pushing forward and the right-back staying behind and tucking in.
Wouldn't be surprised if he is one Town are looking at, although I'm not sure how realistic appointing him would be. [Post edited 16 Jun 15:44]

I wouldn't be against that type of appointment.
You would hope that he has his own tactical philosophy though, if he is wedded to Pep's style of football, that would probably be the wrong appointment for us. |  |
