If it is GON, he won’t be universally accepted. It’s just a fact.
There will be many that view this and underwhelming. Coupled with his Norwich connections, many expected much more.

Understand there will be LOTS that will take a LONG time to warm to him.

ITFC_84 and Waig, who were your choices for manager and for what reasons?

I’m not going to profess to know about the data from managers across Europe. I don’t have their xG/style of play/or record in the transfer market to hand. The club does though!

Ashton says we are searching high and low for a manager and looking at ‘all markets’. So we choose an uninspiring GON who was no great shakes at Wolves or Bournemouth and whom Strasbourg fans aren’t really bothered about losing.

It’s such a risk. Lose 3 on the bounce and the knives will be out. This fanbase won’t give him the time because of his previous ‘connections’ and record.

So you didn't have a preference of your own? Can you describe the kind of profile you would have been happy with?

For what it's worth, I think GON is a great choice. He's a young, ambitious manager with knowledge and experience of the PL. He is well versed in the tactical side of the game and is progressive thinking with an appetite to learn and improve. What's not to like?
