I have been for years now feeding the wildlife in my garden,I have bird tables and feeders hanging from trees.I give them different foods during the day.
The Squirrels enjoy the nuts I have a family of those,i buy fat slabs and seed for the birds,and when I have my morning fruit smoothie,the shredded material goes in a little pot on the bird table.
I also have four bird baths,with small bowls of water placed on the ground for the Hedgehogs.
My garden resembles old mateys from ‘Small Prophets’.

Have you considered a heavily armed scarecrow? |
I suppose nowadays a scarecrow has to have a dummy drone positioned above it and a tablet in one hand with the other poised for directions otherwise the birds will never take it seriously. |  |

In both cases I think they were a wee bit lost, the young Golden Eagle clumsily trying to get through the trees had me wondering if a crofter had just taken a pot shot at it, the heron I guess was just taking a rest (river only a hundred yards or so away) but it was putting enough weight on the branch of a cherry tree to make it sag. |

Not completely sure, was at a strange angle to me originally and then rested in tree above me for a few seconds. Think it was possbly a sea Eagle, would guess wingspan was about 1 and a half to 2 metres.
You supposed to contact National Parks an Wildlife Service if you see 1. So will call a friend there tomorrow and see what he says.

If it was a juvenile sea eagle the wingspan sounds about right, but it won't have developed the white tail yet. | |

Reporting here used to be directly to the District Bird Recorder, but is now preferred to the BTO Bird Track Service first it would seem. | |

Buzzards seem to go around in groups this time of year (parents and juveniles?). They catch those thermals and go right to the top of them, and they end up being 4 or 5 tiny specks in the sky. Only know to look for them as you can hear them squawking at each other. |  | | |

I can hear them when I’m in my garden they often have a few crows chasing them. | |
