Kane didn't help himself there 17:44 - Jul 1 with 1186 viewsZx1988

Penalty or not, the belly-flop gave the officials a decision to make.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Just seen the slow-motion from behind Kane again as the pundits review it, even in slow motion you can see the keeper withdrawing his hand so any contact would have been unintentional and, surely, a glovesman is entitled to try and cut out a through pass like that. I think the officials have given Kane the benefit of the doubt in not booking him.

Every penalty is unintentional. I am baffled it can be seen as anything other than a blatant penalty. Kanes through on goal, rounds the keeper at top speed, stretching for the ball to get round the keeper and then is brought down.

The so called pundits just ignored the fact Kane has thrown himself to the ground before there was any contact. Did they actually watch it at all. It would have been a penalty if Kane hadn’t been diving already.

But it’s on he redeemed himself. We’d be lost without him.

Oh, I've seen some very intentional fouls that have given rise to a penalty awarded, and some that the officials have missed due to the canniness of the defender taking the attacking player out. Also, if Kane 'rounds the keeper at top speed' then it is too late for the keeper to touch him i.e. he hadn't rounded the keeper and was in fact heading towards the corner flag in a flightbound trajectory. But I will accept that he was travelling quite fast which, I think, got him off the booking because the toe in the ground was probably unintentional on his part.

Just as well he wasn't playing the second half on a yellow as that might have made him more cautious, excellent brace that seemed unlikley chances on both occasions.

Poll: To make him more acceptable what should Gary O'Neill change his middle name to ?
