I mean it's not 'currently' and even if it was why are you putting this potential new signing that is yet to kick a ball with 2 also rans who were a in built cost to being promoted and winning us £150 million? And a manager who. Is yet to manage a game? And a keeper who is being vaguely linked at many differing values.

Such a weird extrapolation to say that 2 adequate things derived from an immense positive for the club, means that these next 3 things will definitely we terrible and eeek, it's looking really bad. Nonsense. Weird, self inflicted wounds if nonsense.

I mean I've just listed the signings we've made and added up the fees to give a summary of where we're at.

The money we've paid for Akpom and Kipre and O'Neill still come out of the budget no matter when we agreed to pay them or whether one is a manager. And both Akpom and Kipre are in the squad so not sure why we would be discounting them when assessing our business for the summer so far.

Seems perfectly reasonable thing to do.

Yes Emersonn isn't confirmed but the fee has been reported as agreed and this is a thread about him. So we're sort of just discussing what the deal would represent in the grand scheme. If it doesn't happen can reassess.

Reports now suggest Ipswich are paying around £26.6m for the player who bagged six goals in Ligue 1 last season, following his £2.5m switch from Turkish outfit Goztepe in the summer of 2025.

Never fails to amuse the amount of posters, (and it's not exclusive to Ipswich), who feel they know the market better than, what the 8-10 football professionals who have assessed this transfer.

7 for Akpom,
2.5 for Kipre
4.3 for GON
24 Emersonn

They were the figures I thought I’d read. And I rounded down.

And not including add ons for Emersonn.

15 for pope was quoted. I said “imagine if” because I can’t believe we will pay that either.

How can you include a player we haven’t yet announced, with no visibility of semi-official cost estimates, the manager without any consideration of possible savings from lower salary and ignore income from sales. Our actual nett outlay for playing staff right now is less than £6M.
