I think we all need to remember Yamine Lamal is still just 18 ( turns 19 in a few days time ). He's nowhere near his ceiling of ability ( interesting thought! ) , and is still learning. I agree with some that he's not been at his best so far in the tournament. He did come into it recovering from an injury. I'm a big Jack Clarke fan, but neither he or JP are anywhere near what he's going to become. They'd already be playing for their country if they were!

One other interesting thing about Yamal, for those who believe young players should be wrapped up in cotton wool and see the light of day just now and then. He's clocked up just over 100 appearances for Barcelona and just over 30 for the Spanish senior team. Definitely not cotton wool treatment!

Yes he sure does look like an 18 year old. Reminds me so much of Omari. Omari would beat the player and get in a great position and stop and wait until they all got back and then try and do it again. Surely once you beat them and they are stretched you go on and cause damage. I don't have anything against the player and I hope he goes on to be the best that there is. Hopefully the comms and co comms dont keep talking rubbish about him.

Remember how good an 18 year old Michael Owen was and then they coached out his brilliance, well a couple of injuries might have reduced his speed too so he adapted to have a great career.

He scores some very good goals,
Young guy lots of experience already,
But I find him a tad lazy,
Like a luxury player,
Almost like park football a goal hanger he just stays wide dosent really track back waiting for the ball,
A luxury town can't afford we need eleven working non stop not ten,

He’s a phenomenal player who’s constantly doubled up on at only 18. You can add Clarke and Philogene together and they still couldn’t get close to his level.

Poll: Escaped Goat of the day. Who’s it going to be?
