The winner for Argentina had a very similar 'foul' against Salah in the build up, so it does ask the question why one team would ask for VAR and the ref would look and then cancel the goal but the other team would be ignored for a similar protest.
Other things included Argentina not getting a single yellow card despite many, many clear fouls, and Egypt not only getting cards but the manager getting a card for declaring he had been subjected to racist abuse (from the crowd?) using the FIFA approved cross arm method of declaring such to the ref. |  |
