Bought my battery drill from there in 2012, a Bond Q branch bit of kit, it was in their 'refurbed returns' sale, so no original box. Still going strong! They were my go too when i lived ion broke hall, now I'm in Felixstowe I have Underwoods. The trilogy, Martin & Newby, Elmers, Underwoods. Honourable shout out to Greens DIY which was at the bottom of Woodbridge Road , just up fron the Caribbean Club until early 90's, now a house. |  | | |

There used to be a real Aladdins Cave of a hardware shop in Felixstowe at the junction of Orwell Road and Highfield Road, which, according to Streetmap, is now a hairdressers.
Was that Underwoods, which is now based in Hamilton Road, or is Underwoods a different shop?
EDIT: looking at its website, it looks like it is a different shop but I must admit I can't really recall Underwoods, even though my parents lived in Felixstowe from 1985 to 2001, and I visited them frequently. [Post edited 18 Jul 10:17]
