It wouldn't surprise me if we sign KVO and Pope - with Pope starting the season as first choice but KVO getting opportunities throughout the season with the expectation that he will take over as clear first choice within the next 1-2 years.
Bringing in KVO as sole first choice feels very risky at his age, but having almost two first choice keepers who we play based on form provides protection against a repeat of the Muric situation | | | |

I don't think anyone is saying he 'can't' but are saying he 'won't'
The guy is 22. And if you've watched his clips, raw with mistakes in him. Great shot stopper, from what I've seen, but certainly not the finished article. And has only ever played in the 2nd tier of Dutch football, that is like jumping from L1 straight to being a starter in the Prem.
If he starts as our first choice keeper, he is about 10 games and 3 mistakes away from being boo'ed by the crowd, look what we did to Muric.
He'll go on loan to the championship to someone with a good keeper department, where he can get experience of getting roughed up at corners etc. |  |

Kvo is 22 and viewed as one for the future, Emmersonn is 21 and looks equally raw but is expected to be one of our top 2 strikers?
I get the fact yhat if a keeper makes a mistake it could cost us the game but if a striker doesn't score you could equally struggle to win

Phil's been briefed on the club's expectations of this young man, so I'm sure it's possible but would take recruitment by surprise; hopefully in a pleasant way lol, rather than because we couldn't land our #1 or because said #1 immediately got injured.
Roefs by contrast arrived with more pedigree and was bought to be first choice. He was first choice Dutch U21 keeper at the time. | | | |

Probably because keepers don't hit their peak until 28/29.
That, and Emersonn cost us £27m

A loan to a championship club would be a good option all round as it would hopefully give the lad valuable first team experience in a tough league whilst it would enable walton to continue as an experienced no. 2 for us
