Delap & Emegha available ... 15:20 - Jul 27 with 3786 viewsBellevue_Blue

Delap links obvious, Emegha was injured for a decent chunk of GONs reign but played a key part in conference League run in.

I still think we need an experienced head (Awonyi/ Wood etc)unless the plan is to get rid of Hirst as well.

Who is always injured.

Also had disciplinary issues last season, was dropped by the club internally for poor attitude.

Not sure he even played for GON last season, whilst it was dressed up as injury think it may have been more issues off field.

Take Delap in a heartbeat.

Struggled at Chelsea, but nobody can deny just how much of handful he was for us.

In a strange way, think he would suit a team like us in a counter attacking side rather than being in a really dominant side like Chelsea.

Strongly disagree, he knows the club, he knows the area and we know he can score 10-15 goals a season and hit the ground running.

As it stands we don't have 15 goals in the team never mind one player.

You don't have to like him, but we all know he can score goals that are needed to have any sort of chance of staying up.

The goals completely dried up the more selfish he got, to the detriment of the team.

I would never sign a player based on form shown 2 seasons or more ago, who showed very little in the previous season, mitigating circumstances or not. If any PL club wants to take the gamble and it pays off, well good luck to both. Not for me however. Ref Chuba Akpom, though in my opinion he's never been played in the set up and system that suited him at Boro.

I hope you're not suggesting Akpom is a better option than Delap.
A 30 year old who scored 2 goals in 29 appearances in the Championship versus 23 year old who scored 1 goal in 28 appearances in the Premiership. Delap might be a loose cannon but Akpom is one that can't fire.
