Some quick thoughts on the game from just off the A12. Obvious caveat that it’s an early pre-season.
Smaller crowd than I remember from previous pre-seasons at Col U.
Osasuna have been the better side both individually and in their shape, they’ve managed to find space between the lines, and move the ball quicker than us. Deservedly one goal up. Should have perhaps had a penalty and almost punished a Palmer error.
We’ve been OK in moments. But our shape is a bit of messy, and the Humphreys and Nunez central two not working. I think we’re 4-2-3-1, but a bit looser with Mehmeti often alongside Emersonn.
As for players Jack Clarke, Humphreys and Davis have been mixed.
OShea, H. Clarke, Palmer, Mehmeti have been OK.
Emersonn had a strong start he’s big, quick and gets round the box. But the service dried up as we struggled to find an identity.
But Fatawu has been excellent; quality player. Can beat the man, but also knows when to pass and cut in and almost scored a worldie.
Out giant keeepr here and is well, a giant.
