The ground is looking good. I'm so glad we aren't in one of these new bowl stadiums on some retail/industrial park. Yes our ground is old..its not perfect but its our ground and steeped in history. I ended up parking in a pay and display car park , quite close to ground. The tariff should have been £4 for the time parked there but because of the game it was £15. It was a bloody pre-season friendly. The council should be ashamed of their profiteering! The sound in the stadium has improved but its still poor. On leaving I tuned in Radio Suffolk for their sports show. How disappointing..no mention of the game, instead they had a live report and segment on Coventry City's friendly !!!! Really? Why?

The only shows dedicated to Suffolk today were between 6am-2pm, everything else is across different regions. Guess they were saving money as so many stations were broadcasting commentary of games. Wouldn't be many areas of the country without a first round EFL game. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programm Parking prices are a joke in town now. Even when I travel to Ipswich for work it costs £8 a day to park in the Portman Road car parks.

They might still have the Blue hour on a Monday at 6. There was a Friday preview show, but all stations from sort of south east midlands down to Bucks have merged. Daytimes, forget it unless you want updates on the M6 or a new book group in Milton keynes.

Sound didn’t seem especially better today in the SAR. I’m pretty sure the new PA wasn’t operational.

Think that sports show was a national one, local radio is rubbish these days. Even when the season is on our show isn’t long enough and doesn’t really have enough ITFC content post match. That’s the thing, plenty of other options tbf. The new PA system isn’t on yet, they’re still installing it. [Post edited 8 Aug 23:42]
