It's going to be an interesting run up to the next election. Reform and Conservatives won't do a pact. I suspect Reform will bleed a few percentage points back to the Conservatives (and possibly to some extent Labour). The small Burnham bounce is presumably mostly from the Greens and Libs Dems. I suppose the question is to what extent this will last? I can't see things getting better/easier for Burnham as the though decisions are needed n the Autumn on the budget.
If the Reform>>>Conservative bleed is anything more than a few percentage points then bizarrely they could be back in play. I'm hoping about won't have a 150 odd seat majority on 33% of the vote again.
Electoral Calculus has Labour winning 244 seats on 25% of the vote, Conservatives 132 on 20% and Reform 127 on 24% of the vote. I assume the Guardian won't be requesting PR at that point?! |  | | |

I dont have a plan unfortunately. I imagine it would at least begin with going into areas like Clacton and Haverhill etc and possibly listening to some of the locals concerns beyond immigration. You don't need to be a sociologist to see these areas have been neglected for generations.
